Outpatient Counseling Services
Outpatient counseling provides individual, family, and group counseling to all the programs that make up Youth & Family Services. Outpatient counselors work with the CARS program (Community At Risk) by referral from Office Of Juvenile Affairs and are the treatment providers for Garfield County Juvenile Drug Court. Counselors are provided to the shelter, Therapeutic Foster Care, Enid Public Schools through the School Based Program, as well as the Children’s Home Based Services which receives referrals from the Department of Human Services. In addition to counseling services, some general assessments in behavior and personality are performed. More extensive assessment in the area of Drug & Alcohol use and abuse are performed for Garfield County Juvenile Drug Court and Office of Juvenile Affairs.
Our Outpatient Counseling Services is the largest program offered at Youth & Family Services and continues to grow. Over the past year, our total client hours have jumped from 2000 to 9000 which is an increase of 63%. We are very proud of this increase and hope to continue in a similar direction. It is unrealistic to believe this increase will continue however, estimating a 5% increase over the next 5 years, YFS could expect to serve clients with nearly 11,500 service hours just in our Outpatient program alone.
